Based on the level of protection offered, bulletproof glass can be divided into two types: safety type and life-saving type. Safety type bulletproof glass, after being shot, produces no shrapnel on its non-impact surfaces and poses no harm to the human body. Life-saving type bulletproof glass, after being shot, produces shrapnel on non-impact surfaces, but the bullet cannot penetrate the glass, potentially causing secondary injury. The bulletproof capability of bulletproof glass varies depending on the type of firearm. Bulletproof glass is divided into three main series: first, aviation bulletproof glass; second, bulletproof glass for vehicles and ships; and third, bulletproof glass for banks. The thickness ranges from 18mm to 40mm.
Bulletproof glass is a special type of high-safety glass that can withstand a bomb explosion of a certain yield without detaching from its frame, remaining intact or suffering non-penetrating damage.
