Our History

Shaoxing Transparent Armoring Materials Co., Ltd, as an industry leader in bulletproof glass and security glazing, is responsible for providing effective protection to a personal in battle field or thread areas. We are taking this responsibility to leading developing and manufacturing the most light-weight transparent armoring materials, which enhance life-saving. Making transparent armor lighter, thinner, reliable and clearer is the challenging task. We are proud of taking this task and manufacturing the most light-weight transparent armors in the world for industries of armored vehicles.

 

Differing from regular bulletproof glass, our light-weight transparent armoring materials integrate all advantages of several materials, which make our transparent armor lighter, thinner, brighter and more reliable than the regular bulletproof glass. It is difficult to distinguish in appearance between our 15mm-thick light-weight transparent armor and regular 25mm-thick laminated sodium glass, unless these two types of glass is struck by a 9mm bullets from sub-machine gun. Our 15mm transparent armor will perform much better than the other one. Without limit to the thickness or density, everyone could produce bullet-resistant glass. In order to make bullet-resistant glass with certain protection capacity lighter, thinner, brighter, and functional more, we inherited from traditional bullet-resistant glass manufactures, innovated special equipment and production lines based on recent scientific findings, cultivated group of experts in armor technology, enhanced defence capacity of armored vehicles or other equipment and consulted for some special projects. We are looking forward to cooperation with specialists in various fields to further apply our light-weight transparent armoring materials to all potential areas.

The company has a first-class R&D team, which has broken through several key technologies in production of transparent armor such as : (1) Self-making polycarbonate(PC) sheet for quality bulletproof glass; (2) Solved the problem of low bonding strength between polycarbonate and polyurethane (PU) hot-melt adhesive, which is most susceptible to delamination of bulletproof glass; (3) Raising performance of bulletproof glass at low-temperature surrounding, 30mm-thick glass can stop 7.62x39 bullet with striking velocity of 715m/s at frozen surrounding of -25℃; (4) Enhancing resistance of bulletproof glass to high-temperature surrounding, after 96hours-95℃ treatment, bulletproof glass still has no bulb or no delamination at edges. ; (5) Making high-precision double-curved bulletproof glass, dimension deviation less than 0.1%; (6) Lowing-cost making of quality sapphire for special transparent armor ; (7) low-cost making of long-life and light-weight transparent armor.

The company has registered capital of 50 million yuan. The total value of the fixed asset is more than 100 million yuan. With 30 in-service employees, 15 mu of industrial land, and more than 9,000 square meters of self-owned R&D and production workshops, the company has the capacity to produce 30,000 square meters of transparent armoring materials or components annually and can support production line of 10,000 high-performance armored vehicles.

In cooperation with top-class client company, it has built the world's first bulletproof vehicle assembly line. Based on the 3D model of the original vehicle glass, it conducts 3D simulation of glass size and interface according to modification conditions, and continuously improves through sample verification to ensure the adaptability between bulletproof glass and vehicles.

The products cover the fields of military bulletproof glass, electromagnetic shielding bulletproof glass, electric heating bulletproof glass, warship bulletproof glass, bulletproof sentry boxes, mobile transparent bulletproof barriers, machine tool bulletproof glass, civil building bulletproof doors and windows, and automobile bulletproof and anti-smashing glass;
They also include multi-curved bulletproof glass (such as Br6-grade double-curved bulletproof glass, Br3-grade double-curved bulletproof glass, M16-grade double-curved bulletproof glass), PC dedicated to bulletproof glass (mechanical properties higher than imported PC sheet), sapphire blanks (subjected to chemical transparency treatment with high quality against physical treatment), and intelligent temperature control systems (used with bulletproof glass).
